A Film For My Mother
The loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult things a person can experience. My mother, who I loved dearly, passed away a few years ago, and I wanted to find a way to honor her memory. I had seen The Story Tell Company online and was intrigued by their unique approach to creating memorial film.
I knew that this was the perfect way to help me express my grief and celebrate the wonderful life of my mother. The Story Tell Company offers a unique and personalized service. They create a custom film to commemorate the life of a loved one. The process started with a conversation about my mother, which includes information about her life, career, hobbies, interests, and more.
I then collected videos, photos and other mementos to make the film even more personal.
The team at The Story Tell Company, then send out a team and we record an interview on Camera. I was really nervous about this, but they prepared me so well and it was actually really cathartic talking about mum in such a focused way.
Once the interview was completed, the team at The Story Tell Company used the material, the interview, the old photos and videos, the music we choose to create a wonderful documentary film.
The film was designed to celebrate and capture the spirit of my mothers life and all of the wonderful memories associated with her. It’s been an amazing source of comfort and healing for all of us grieving her loss.
The film is also a beautiful keepsake to remember my mother by. My sister were there at the interview and shared stories of her life, they bought pictures of her that I’d never seen, and other mementos. It all came together to provide the most amazing testament to the most loving women in our lives.
It is a way to keep her memory alive and the stories of her life accessible to all our kids. The cathartic process of making this memorial film was incredibly healing for all of us. It’s allowed me to take the time to reflect on the wonderful memories I have with my mother and to honor her life. It has also been incredibly comforting to be able to watch the film and remember her fondly.
Creating this memorial film with The Story Tell Company was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It was a wonderful way to honor my mother’s memory and a source of comfort and healing for me. I am so thankful for the opportunity to create this beautiful project and to have a tangible reminder of my mother.
